Sudipto Sen of The Kerala Story slams Laapataa Girls Filmfare awards

Filmfare awards for the 12 months 2024 had been introduced and Laapataa Girls gained 12 awards together with the Finest Movie award.

Following this, The Kerala Story director Sudipto Sen blasted the jury for the awards to Laapataa Girls. He on Instagram posted  “This 12 months Filmfare actually is an expose of Indian ‘nouvelle obscure’ A blatantly plagiarised movie a movie which is a tutorial of brutality and a movie which didn’t survive the field workplace for greater than 72 hours took away many of the crowns. As anticipated, one of the best work of 2024 stays elusive. Realised why Filmfare was so vocal in opposition to The Kerala Story receiving Nationwide Awards. I’m blissful that this ‘wooden’ group doesn’t recognise, invite or select us (sic).”

He added, “We’re spared from faking smiles, faking comradier, and most significantly, not indulging in any sycophancy. In the long run- I’m blissful that we’re saved from hobnobbing with this tamasha within the title of cinema in Mumbai and clicking selfies in Cannes. Atleast we’re saved from these ugly hypocrisies and faux tapestry within the title of cinema.”

Within the caption, Sudipto wrote: “I by no means anticipate something nice from any Indian cinema institution, notably when it’s media or cinema journalism. Principally enamored by the glamor and wealthy world of the celebrities, precisely the best way individuals from villages and small cities collect in entrance of Mr. Bachchan or SRK’ home.
