Sai Tamhankar thinks her character is daring and unattainable to disregard

Daring, impartial and unafraid to talk her thoughts, the character of Barkha from Matka King immediately struck a chord with Sai Tamhankar. Add filmmaker Nagraj Manjule to the combo, and it turned an expertise she deeply cherished.

“Taking a look at our historical past, if a feminine artiste is given anyone’s spouse’s position, we make the overall assumption that she will probably be decorative. After I learn [the script], I believed a feminine, standing up for herself and exercising her voice was very fascinating,” shares the actor. “I believe that is boldness for me — exercising your independence and placing out your voice. I like such girls. It’s a giant deal in that period. So, I used to be completely satisfied to play the character as a result of she has her personal journey.”
