Kamal Haasan Faces Backlash Over Sanatana Dharma Feedback

Actor-politician Kamal Haasan has obtained a demise risk from tv actor Ravichandran following his latest remarks on Sanatana Dharma. Haasan criticized the central authorities’s Nationwide Eligibility cum Entrance Check (NEET), calling it an “sick consequence of Sanatana Dharma” through the fifteenth anniversary celebration of Tamil star Suriya’s NGO, Agaram Basis.

Ravichandran responded with a threatening assertion in a YouTube interview, labeling Haasan a “naive politician” and vowing to slit his throat for his feedback towards Sanatana Dharma. The controversy surrounding Haasan’s feedback has escalated, with the Tamil Nadu unit of the Bharatiya Janata Occasion (BJP) calling for a boycott of his movies.

BJP state secretary Amar Prasad Reddy shared a video message on social media, urging Hindus to not watch Haasan’s films, even on OTT platforms, to show him a lesson for allegedly insulting Sanatana Dharma. In the meantime, office-bearers of Haasan’s Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) social gathering have filed a grievance with the Chennai Police Commissioner towards Ravichandran’s demise risk. Kamal has but to react publicly to the backlash.
