Stars Gathered At 80s ReUnion In Chennai

The 80s Stars Reunion, a cherished annual custom amongst South Indian movie trade stalwarts, made a heartfelt return on October 4, 2025, in Chennai, after a 3 12 months hiatus on account of devastating floods. Initially deliberate for the earlier 12 months, the occasion was reorganized as an intimate gathering of friendship, unity, and solidarity. Rajkumar Sethupathy and Sripriya graciously hosted the reunion at their house, marking a departure from the customary 5 star venue.
The night, curated by Lissy Lakshmi, Poornima Bhagyaraj, Khushbu Sundar, and Suhasini Maniratnam, introduced collectively 31 actors from throughout Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and the Hindi movie trade. Notable attendees included Chiranjeevi, Venkatesh, Jackie Shroff, Sarathkumar, and Nadhiya, amongst others. The reunion was full of heat, reflection, and camaraderie, celebrating the range that unites the actors past borders and languages.
As Suhasini Maniratnam famous, “It wasn’t an evening of celebration this time, it was a quiet gathering of associates who’ve recognized one another for many years to precise unity, empathy, and gratitude for the bonds which have outlasted fame and time.” Lissy Lakshmi added that the reunion stood as an emblem of lasting friendship, unity in variety, and the timeless spirit of Indian cinema.
