Military veteran notes flag code breach, calls for ban

A scene from Netflix’s Operation Safed Sagar: The Untold Story of the Kargil Struggle has drawn criticism from an Indian Military veteran over the depiction of an officer’s coffin. Colonel Vembu Shankar alleged that the Tricolour was incorrectly draped and urged the makers to digitally appropriate the scene, droop its streaming and problem an apology.

Colonel Vembu Shankar, an Indian Military veteran, has raised issues over a scene within the Netflix internet collection Operation Safed Sagar: The Untold Story of the Kargil Struggle. He famous the inaccurate draping of the Tricolour on a coffin in a scene involving Squadron Chief Ajay Ahuja (Siddharth). He shared an image of the scene that includes Mihir Ahuja as Flying Officer C.H. Bal Reddy, aka Baldy, and Abhay Verma as Flying Officer Rajpal Singh Dhaliwal, aka Dhali, carrying Ahuja’s coffin as pallbearers. The veteran alleged that though the coffin is draped within the Indian Nationwide Flag, the best way the Tricolour has been positioned is inconsistent with the Flag Code of India.
